Tomorrow, 28 Feb will be the 78th. year of my sisters birth. She was a very special baby, young girl, daughter, young wife and mother, all rolled into one. The picture was taken on her 23rd. birthday. She is holding her birthday cake in the picture. Zona Bell was named for her grandmother Arizona and her aunt Clara Bell. She married Melvin at the tender age of 17 and they produced one baby boy.
We lost Zona when she was just 27 years old. It has been many years ago, but we still miss her to this day. I can't quite picture her at the age of 78, but I bet she would be just as special today if she was still living.
She would be a grandmother to her two grandsons, and would love them just as much as the grandmother who helped to love them all of these years. Thank you Lavern for being there for them.
