BEAUTIFUL BABY

Here is a new picture of Sofia Rena.  Isn't she adorable with those big beautiful eyes that is learning what her world is going to be like.

She appears to be shopping with, maybe her mom, grandmother, maybe her aunt, or even her great-grandmother.

Sofia has a family that loves her, that is for sure.

She will be having a birthday soon.

We all love you little girl.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY...SISTER OF MINE

Tomorrow, 28 Feb will be the 78th. year of my sisters birth.  She was a very special baby, young girl, daughter, young wife and mother, all rolled into one.  The picture was taken on her 23rd. birthday.  She is holding her birthday cake in the picture.

Zona Bell was named for her grandmother Arizona and her aunt Clara Bell.  She married Melvin at the tender age of 17 and they produced one baby boy.

We lost Zona when she was just 27 years old.   It has been many years ago, but we still miss her to this day.  I can't quite picture her at the age of 78, but I bet she would be just as special today if she was still living.

She would be a grandmother to her two grandsons, and would love them just as much as the grandmother who helped to love them all of these years.  Thank you Lavern for being there for them.

THE LIGHTS WENT OUT

Picture this, you are setting there watching a good move.  All of a sudden it is pitch dark.  The only thing you can see is the pilot light on the gas heater.  Now why didn't I turn the heater on instead of fumbling around in the dark to find a flash light or matches.   After a few minutes I knew I was going to have to go the length of the house to get a flash light that was in my bedroom.  I finally made it, got some light, then lit the two oil lamps.  We are all set with light and one phone that will work.   After a while, I get bored and decide to go to bed.  I make sure all switches are off and as I walk past the wall phone in the den and the red light is flashing.  What!!!  about that time I see little spots of light on the printer, computer screen stand, phone, etc.   I had turned off all the light switches to go to bed and didn't know it had come back on for a few minutes.   Now I am happy, I can turn them all off and go to bed.  Yea.
Oh the life with out electricity.  Have mercy!!

It was off about an hour and a half.  Thank you who ever got it going again.
Now I will go to bed and listen to the wind blowing a gale that probably caused the problem.

Silly Me

I went to Oklahoma last Friday to visit my aunt and cousin that lives there.  Auntie fell and broke a bone, but she is recovering very well it seems.   She is home now and can get out of bed by herself and use her walker.  Tho she is still in pain, she is doing just fine.

Well, silly me, when we came home and I reached in the car for my purse, it was not there.  I had left it about 80 miles away in Oklahoma.  Oh dear, money, cards, checkbook, etc.  But I did have extra checks at home, and my car keys were in my coat pocket.  So I filled up my car with gas on Sunday, and wrote a check to pay for it, :) picked up my sister and we went to visit again.   It was a pleasant Sunday afternoon drive, we really enjoyed it.

And my purse has now come home to stay I hope.   Have you ever lost your purse?  It is an awful feeling. :(

HAPPY BIRTHDAY...80th.

                                                                  Happy 80th. Lucille

Happy 5th. Kami

I missed a great birthday party last Saturday.  How I wish I could have been there.
A friend and neighbor where we used to live turned eighty!  I beat her to it tho, I had my party in November.
I just want to wish her a belated birthday and many more to come.
She is a great gal and has lots of family and friends.

I did attend a party on Saturday here at home.  My first g-granddaughter turned five.  She is such a doll and Mom served hot dogs and the fixings.  I took her cheese dip and chips.  She got lots of really good presents and she was such a lady opening them and thanking every one.  Happy Birthday Tuesday, little one.  I love you!!
