Good News

The rent house in Killeen was not damaged and it is RENTED!!!!!!
How lucky I feel that the tarnado missed it. I am sure the creek flooded, but the house is high enough that if it floods, Killeen would be under water.

My new washing machine was delivered this morning and the 4th. load is about to finish. Lucky me.
I think I killed the other one when it kept getting out of control on the spin. Oh well, I liked it better, but this one will do the job I am sure.

All you guys have a great holiday weekend. Much love, Mom/Mema/Mary

MY MOTHER

.....was a caring, wonderful person. She was born in May on the 20th. day in 1907. She and her twin was born at home, on "Rock Hill" in Lamar County. Uncle Claude Emmitt died at the age of three months. Mother always felt as if a part of her was missing. She attended school at Fords Academy School. I have a picture taken in 1917 of the school children and Maudie was standing on the end in the second row.
She married Johnny in November 1926 and moved with him to west Texas where two of their four children was born. Back in Lamar County in the early thirtys, they raised their 4 children to adulthood.
Maudie was a very much loved person, loved by every one who knew her. She loved to write, she penned poems, and many of her thoughts and prayers.
She is gone now, but never forgotten. Two of her loving children and Johnny are with her, leaving Jean, me, her grandchildren and the other family members to mourn her. God Bless you Mother.

We have a new family member.

Zackory arrived on 1 May 2007 and weighed in at a little over 6 pounds and is 21 inches long. Welcome to the family Zackory.
He was welcomed home by his big brother Benjamin, his mom and dad, his grandparents, gr-grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Will Zackory be the youngest at the family reunion in June? If he doesn't come to the reunion, I guess Sophia will be the youngest. They are both so welcome to the family and they are third cousins.

We hope to see both of them in June.
