Patrick

Here is a new picture of Patrick. Today is his birthday and he will be 11 years old around 11:30 p.m. tonight, 29 Apr 2007.
We had fun at his party yesterday, Mom and Dad; sister and brother; three grandparents and Aunt Niecie. We had burgers, hotdogs and all the fixings. His cake was an icecream cake.

Happy Birthday

Patrick will be eleven this weekend. Where did the last eleven years go since Pepa and I made the flying trip to Longview to be there when he was born. We made it with time to spare, Patrick was a little stubborn about entering this old world and had to be forced to appear. What a bundle of joy he was and is! Guess I will be at his birthday celebration this Saturday. I love you Patrick.

Our Bubba

Bubba was born with Spina Bifida. He never knew a well day, but he didn't let that stop him. He learned to walk at age five, he was a very special person and we all loved him and spoiled him. He lived to be sixty one years old and just a few days. He died just days after his birthday on 23 April 1994. He went to be with mother, daddy and our sister. We really do miss him, but we know he is in less pain now. God bless you Bubba

Eight Long Years Ago

Our lives were forever changed eight years ago today. I lost my husband and my children lost their father. He was our rock that we clung to. His eleven grandchildren loved him, even the two that never knew him. He is in our ever thoughts with many precious memories to remember him by.

The picture was taken one week before he died and he is wearing Jesse James hat. We were at our retirement party, and the speaker was telling about researching the death of Jesse James and he had on the hat and a red kerchief. He really did a good program.

Happy Anniversary.....

Chester and Martha. They were married in Austin on 20 Apr 1973. They have two daughters and one precious grandchild.
It has been a long and interesting time. Many blessings and bumps along the way. We are all so very proud of your journey through life. I want to wish you many, many more years of happiness and much love to you both.

Up Date on the Three K"s

Little K loves "the big water" just don't put her in it. She loves playing in the sand and looking for shells and swiming in the pool. They sleep a lot, and are having fun. A sad note tho, big K dropped her cell phone in the bath tub while giving little K a bath. So sorry about that and middle K ran over her phone with her car, but it will still work a little bit.
Aren't BACATIONS fun! Hurry home girls, we miss you.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAREN

Thirty + years ago today, we were so excited. We were grandparents for the very first time. And what a precious jewel she was. Chester and Martha were the proud parents, and her aunts and uncle's were just as proud as we were.

Karen is on vacation today and out of town. I just wanted to wish her a Happy Birthday anyway.

Good morning world

What a beautiful morning here in Texas. It is a little cool, but the sun is shinning and it is a great day to be out side.

This is a picture of my Irises in 2006, but they are just a beautiful today as they were then. I have all blue in this flower bed, but more colores in the back yard.

This is my daughter and gr-grandson pictured here. I am so proud of them and the flowers.

MY GREAT - GRANDDAUGHTER

Kami has gone down to the sea. She loved it when she saw it her Mom said. Actually it is the Gulf, but she didn't know the difference. She went with her Mom and her Aunt. They will really enjoy their vacation playing in the sand and maybe wade a little water.

She has talked of nothing else but her bacation this past week. That is how she says it. Have a great time Kami and come home with a lot of news for Mema, Ganny and Pops. We love you.

Happy Birthday

I have a long standing friend that had a birthday today. Her wonderful family is giving her at party tomorrow. I am sorry that I will not be there to celebrate with her and her family.

Our husbands worked together many years ago, and we have had some great times when our families were young.

My Three gr-grand children

This is my three gr-grand children. Aren't they precious? Sophie and Aidan visit me every Wednesday morning. Their Mamaw brings them.

I keep Kami two days a week and have ever since she was six weeks old.

I am so proud of them.

My number five grandson

Let me introduce you to Michael. He is a fine grandson, making his way through school. Right now he is attending PJC. He sent me a picture and a note and I want to share it with you all.

From Michael: I figure you might want a new picture of me since I've cleaned up a little (he got his hair cut. That and I'd like to announce that I will be graduating from PJC with my two-year associates degree at Noyes Stadium on May 11th. I will be walking the stage and all that good stuff. I will not be fully done with the program until I graduate again next Spring with my jewelry degree.

Great job Michael, we are proud of you.

Sorry I have not posted in a few days. I am still learning about this computer. It has its many quirks that I have not figured out yet.

I got it

I don't know how to work it yet, but I am learning. See the pictures of it on Denises blog.
I am so very proud of my son-in-law, it took him hours to set it up and then transfer everything.
I did have to get a new quicken, it didn't find the old one. Sure hope I can figure it out before I need it. :)

As soon as I know better I will post something good.

Easter Sunday

Have a Blessed Easter this Sunday.

It looks like the weather will be cold, my flowers are blooming so prettly and for the first time I have already moved my plants outside. I may loose them. I sure pray not.

Any way what ever God wills will be done. Have a Happy Easter and find lots of eggs.

Helloooo out there

Well it finally arrived! I have a new computer! I have waited all week, afraid to leave the house in case it appeared. I finally got it around five this afternoon.
It is still a Mac, but it is a Mac Mini I think it is called. Maybe I will post more often if it isn't as slow as this one. My son-in-law will be over and hook it up tomorrow he said. I can't hardly wait.

The sad news, now my Microwave oven died. It is the one Pepa and I bought in Austin many years ago. I need a new one over the stove, so I am going that way this time. Hey, someone have a sale, I will be there. :)

The oldest son and daughter-in-law came tonight for a visit., it was good to have them. They had visited a retirement party for his boss. Good food and good people, those Sara Lee people......

I spent yesterday visiting with family from Colorado. We research our McClure line. It was fun to set and visit and share information. Come again guys when you are in town.
