HAPPY ANNIVERSARY.....

Guess what happened 36 years ago tonight in our den in Austin.
Chester Duane and Martha Karen were married by candlelight.

It was a beautiful ceremony, attended by family and friends.
Janet was Martha's attendent and Duane, Chester's dad, was
his attendent.

We had a nice reception for them and waved them good bye
as they headed for Indian Lake pulling our boat. Chester and
Duane had taken our trailer down earlier in the day and set it up.
What fun.

Wonder what every one thought to wake up to a boat
that yelled, JUST MARRIED on it.

It has been great years, including two daughters and a granddaughter.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY KIDS. Sorry I forgot it and you had to remind me tonight.

Happy Anniversary

January 3rd., 36 years ago, one of my little boys got married. He and his high school sweetheart married at home in our den. It was a lovely wedding for a sailor boy and his girl. This picture was taken 25 Dec 2007, just look at what they produced. Oops, one of the boys is missing. His picture is just below this blog. They did not produce me, but I am in the picture anyway. :)

Happy 60th. Anniversary

Ella Louise Sikes and Wendell Jefferson Tallant was married 60 years ago on 27 June 1948.

Today they will celebrate with family and friends 60 years of married life. What a blessing,
not every one gets to celebrate that many years together.

Their children, grandchildren and g-grandsons will be here to celebrate with them.

I want to wish you many more years, and know that each year is a blessing.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY.....

Today is Chester and Martha's thirty fifth anniversary. It seem like yesterday that they were married in our den in Austin and left on their honeymoon pulling a boat behind the pickup. Cans and etc. tied behind. They had our trailer stashed away down at Bastrop State Park, and spent a few days there having fun. Soon it was time for Chester to go back to Florida and the US Navy.

Many years have passed since then. Chester finished his three years in the Navy, they moved to Blossom, built a new home and best of all, had us two beautiful baby girls to love and cherish.

Today, those baby girls are all grown and one has her own baby girl for us to cherish. It has been a good thirty five years so far.

Have thirty five more happy years kids, and much love from your family.

Happy Anniversary.....

Janet and Wesley was married on 3 Jan 1973 in Austin, Texas at his parents home.   They were High School sweethearts at William B. Travis High School.   Wesley volunteered for the US Navy after graduation and they were married while he was home on leave after basic training.

They now have three sons, Kevin, Jonathan and Michael.  

In this picture they were celebrating thirty one years of marriage on 3 Jan 2004.  The three sons and other family members joined in the fun.  
Janet and Wesley will celebrate thirty five years of marriage tomorrow, 3 Jan 2008. Happy Anniversary kids.

HAPPY FOURTH ANNIVERSARY

Another family was started on 20 Dec 2003 when Brian Duane and Laura Ann was married.    It was a beautiful wedding with many family members and many friends as guests.   

Today they are now a family.   Baby Clara Jane joined them on 13 Nov 2007, a bundle of joy for us all to love.  Clara is my g-granddaughter.   She joins her cousins, my other three g-grandchildren to make my joy complete.   I love you, Brian, Laura and Clara.

 

HAPPY THIRTEENTH ANNIVERSARY

Thirteen years ago a new family was started

with the marriage of Tim and Melissa. It

has been an interesting thirteen years.

During that time three wonderful children

have joined them. There was Patrick in 1996,

what a guy. Our little red haired girl, Elizabeth,

joined the family in 1999. Lo and behold, along

comes Jacob in 2001. Jacob looks more like his

dad. Elizabeth has Pepa's red hair and he did not

get to see her. Patrick is a combination of both

parents.

In 2005, this picture was taken of the family.

Isn't it a great picture of one of my favorite families?

I wish for you many more years to enjoy and finish

raising those kids. Then you can look forward to

grandchildren. May you be well blessed with them.

Happy Anniversary.....

Chester and Martha. They were married in Austin on 20 Apr 1973. They have two daughters and one precious grandchild.
It has been a long and interesting time. Many blessings and bumps along the way. We are all so very proud of your journey through life. I want to wish you many, many more years of happiness and much love to you both.
