Ninety years ago today, a baby girl was born. She was named Nota Alene. She was to grow up into a wonderful person. She married John R.. They had two wonderful children and she is a grandmother of four grandsons.
We all love you Nota and wish you a very Happy Birthday today. You are truly blessed to live to be this great age in life. God Bless you.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENICE

On this day, our 8th. Anniversary, God loaned us our first baby daughter. What a blessing she has been. Now these many years later she has tripled herself. Now we are blessed three time more. Happy birthday today Niecie, you are such a blessing to me, and to your own family. I hope it will be great for you. And by the way, Paris is holding a Christmas parade for her tonight!!! :-) Who could ask for more, see you at the parade!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUANE/PEPA

Tomorrow, August 12, 1923, a baby boy was born in Biardstown, Texas. Tomorrow he would have been 87 years old. How we all miss him being in our lives today. We lost him on 23 April 1999, when his heart gave out. He was a son, husband, father and grandfather. He missed meeting two of his grandchildren and all five great-grandchildren. He left a great legacy to follow in his foot steps.

We all loved you Duane/Daddy/Pepa and miss you every day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LLOYD

On 16 Feb 2010, Mr. Lloyd Ford was 100 years old. What an achievement he has made.

He is the son of William Henry Ford (1875 - 1948) and Nora Jane Kennedy Ford (1885 - 1988). (notice Nora's dates) Lloyd married Miss Eunice Ellis 9 Apr 1929. They will celebrate 81 years of marriage this April. God Bless you both, Mr. Lloyd and Mrs. Eunice.

Zealy and Arthur Ellis was the parents of Miss Eunice Ellis.

Lloyd's sister, Ruby Emily Ford, was married to my Uncle Sam Taylor.

I want to wish Mr. Lloyd a very Happy Birthday tomorrow.

Wow, 100 years old and still drives his car. You are a great man. Way to go!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ELLA, MELISSA and BRIAN

January 13th. is a big day in our family. Ella was born first, then along came her neice Melissa. A few years later Melissa's nephew Brian was born on her birthday. This picture of the three of them was taken at the Family reunion in June 2007. Since then, one of the three has been missing from the Reunion. Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY kids. It is a very unusual thing to have three born on the same day, not years of course. That would tell their age if I did that.

Sixty years ago today Duane and I welcomed our first son into the family. Can it be that long ago? Yes, it has. He is a husband and a father now, and a grandfather. He was in the United States Navy. Tomorrow is Christi's birthday. I am going out to visit with her at the mother and father-in-law home tonight. They are having pizza but I am just going to wish Christi a happy birthday and look for a piece of cake. Christi is my granddaughter-in-law. She gave me two wonderful great-grandchildren. A boy and a girl. They are all four so precious to me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATRICK

Patrick Ryan, what a guy


13 years ago on 29 April 1996, we got a phone call, just at eight a.m., hi mom and dad, I am in the hospital. Well, we already had the van packed, so we closed up the house and headed out for Longview, Texas. Boy, what a ride. We stopped one time to grab a small box of crackers to eat with the cold cuts, and didn't stop again until we got to the hospital. We just knew that Patrick Ryan would have already arrived. The slow little booger, he lingered in his nice warm cocoon until the doctors finally decided he needed some help to arrive. He was extracted at 11:07 p.m., weighing in at 8 lbs. 10 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. What a boy, and he is still a boy thirteen years later.

We are so proud of you Patrick. The picture of him was taken at his science fair this year. He got to go to state and what an honor that was, even tho he didn't win first or second place this time, like before.

Mom and Dad now have a teenager, hang in there guys, this to will soon pass. :)

I can't believe that I forgot to post a greeting for my very first grandchild's birthday when her birthday rolled around. Well yes, I did snail mail her a birthday card. But to forget to post her picture. Shame on me.

Look at the beautiful young lady in the picture below. Karen is wearing the Hot Pink shirt standing on the left. That is her baby girl setting on pop's knee down front. Kami calls him Pop's. That is her grandfather. Ganny, Kami's version of granny, is seated next to Pop's. Aunt sis is standing behind Ganny.

Tomorrow is the day another of my grandchildren was born. 28 Dec, a very special day for Michael. I want to wish you a very Happy Birthday and many more. Your birthday card is winging its way to you, but will be late because I forgot to mail it last Wednesday. We missed you at dinner Christmas day, also your family that was with you.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ME

Tomorrow, I will be 81 years young. It does not seem like a year since the children threw me a big birthday party. It was so much fun. Since that date, I have another great-granddaughter, making me 3 great-granddaughters and just 1 great-grandson. Come on kids, times awasting. I will soon be old and can't enjoy them. :(
In this picture, I had just opened a present from my cousin, Connie. She gave me a can of Pork-n-Beans. They were Over The Hill beans. (Directions, 1. Eat Hearty, 2. Take a bath then, 3. clear the room.) :)

Today is Tim's birthday. I have him a card, but it is still here hanging on my grandfather clock. Tim and his son is at Church Camp, so maybe the card will be there when he gets home from camp Friday. I hope you are having a very fun time at camp Tim.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Today would have been my wonderful mother's birthday. She would have been 101 years old. Mom was one of the greatest mother's in the world. When we were little, she played with us, her two oldest girls. When little Donnie was born with a great health problem, she devoted her life to his care and well being. Four years later another baby girl was born. We were all four the luckiest children in the world to belong to this woman.

This picture was taken in 1933, at the Kress Store in a nickle machine. We never got a studio picture of her or daddy.

She loved her Lord and was faithful to him. She didn't get to church as often as she wanted to in earlier years, but in later years when Donnie got a car, he saw that she went to church as long as she was able.

We lost mom at the age of 71 on 1 Aug 1978, a wonderful light had gone from our lives. How we all missed her, and we still do.

Mom had to see one of her little girls leave us in 1957 when a bad heart could not beat any more. They are both, Zona 1957 and Mom 1978 buried in Hopewell Cemetery along with Daddy 1975, Donnie 1994, and my beloved Duane 1999. How we miss them all.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSIAH

Tomorrow, 24 March, will be Josiah's birthday. I just want to wish my newest grandson-in-law a very happy birthday. This picture was taken at Thanksgiving 2004, but it was the only one I have that Kari is not in. :)

Happy Birthday Joe and I wish you many, many more. I am very proud of you and Kari and wish you happiness always.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

My first baby born 58 years ago has retired and just had a birthday. He had a cake and ice cream, chicken dinner and all the trimmings.

Then we went down in his woods and had a big bonfire. What fun on a cool night in Texas.

The certificate he is holding he got when he retired a few months ago. He also got a fishing lure and a watch.
